Shawn Smith was super nice and very efficient. He was able to help with my immediate problem with a clogged drain and also found larger issues with our pipes we weren’t aware of before they became a bigger problem. Mr Rooters techs are always on time and so nice, highly recommended!

Trevor came today to take a look at a clog in our toilet. We received a clear explanation of what was going to be done and what possible problems might occur. The repairs were done exactly as explained for the cost provided. They were very friendly and made sure to clean up their messes. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter.

We couldn't thank Brandon and Mr. ROOTER enough. I called this morning and had service completed before they were even originally scheduled to be here as they moved us up. Very professional customer service and technician. Thank you for making it easy to deal with the unexpected. Will be a return customer.

Call Mr. Rooter and ask for Douglas because this guy gets things done and has a huge heart to make sure it's done CORRECTLY! They have a wonderful quick response time. Who can say that nowadays. Thankfully we are back on our feet with what could have been a disaster if it wasn't for Douglas knowing what to do. Huge praise.

The pump in my septic tank went out. I called Mr. Rooter and they were very responsive and came out the next day. They upgraded my pump from a 1/3 horse to a 1/2 horse and charged me $100 less than the competitor [who wouldn't return my calls or texts]. Very satisfied with their service.

I called Mr. Rooter on Friday because my shower was completely clogged. To my surprise, they said someone could come on Saturday at no extra charge, but they got tied up on a job, so Allen Fitzpatrick came Sunday afternoon. He checked out my shower, and I mentioned that my sewer line had backed up on multiple occasions, so I knew I’d have to have it replaced sooner rather later. He offered to send a camera down it, which confirmed what I was afraid of. On Monday he came back, along with Donald, who looked at everything and gave me estimates on both jobs. The best news was that they would not have to tear up my driveway and yard to replace the sewer line, but only have to dig 2 big holes, one of which involved my garage floor. Also, they have a 10 year warranty on the sewer line and 5 years on the drain line repair. I opted to bite the bullet and have both taken care of, so he gave me a significant break on the price. That afternoon, Allen replaced my shower drain line, and on Tuesday he returned with a crew to begin the sewer line replacement. By mid Thursday afternoon, the job was completed very satisfactorily, including repairing the concrete garage floor. Allen cleaned up everything and was a pleasure to have in my home and yard, taking his time and patiently answering my questions. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter for their promptness, thoroughness, patience as well as being very easy to work with.

Mr English was very professional, very courteous and very knowledge. The service was performed Sunday morning after a faucet failure and subsequent water leak from a very old shut-off valve. We were worried the house would be flooded. Mr English had all of it fixed within an hour and put our minds to ease. He did all this while realizing his tire on the service vehicle was going flat after he found a 3 prong garden tool stuck in it.

Technician was on time, professional at what he repaired. Had some problems but that's typical when doing work on a Ball Home. Good job! No complaints. Would recommend Mr. Rooter and Technician Douglas to anyone needing work done.

Frequently Asked Questions About Sewer Line Repair in Wilmore, Kentucky

Our ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ may have the answers you’re looking for about sewer line repair services in Wilmore, Kentucky. The friendly team at Mr. Rooter Plumbing® is here to answer any questions about our plumbing services available throughout Wilmore.

  • As the costs to replace a sewer line can depend on where in the country you are, the length of the sewer line you need to replace, and the exact location for replacement, such as underneath landscaping, contact your local sewer line installation professional for a more precise job estimate. Your plumbing service provider’s sewer line replacement method can contribute to installation costs, such as traditional excavation versus trenchless technology like pipe lining and pipe bursting. You may pay more or less for sewer line replacement depending on the type of materials your sewer line replacement team uses, such as PVC, HDPE, and ABS. You can expect various costs when replacing residential or commercial sewer lines, such as labor, site restoration post-replacement, permits, regulations, and access.

  • The need for extensive or minor repairs can factor into how much your local sewer line repair team charges to fix your sewer lines, but you can typically expect an average rate of $50 to $300 per foot to cover equipment and skill. Some repair methods, like pipe lining, pipe bursting, and excavation, cost more or less than others and play a major role in how much your sewer line repairs cost. Contact your local sewer line repair business for a job estimate since sewer line repair pricing can depend on how severe the damage to your lines is. The materials and parts your chosen service provider uses for sewer line repairs may contribute to the cost, such as couplings, connectors, repair sleeves, and HDPE, PVC, or ABS pipe.

  • When the upper section of your line that is responsible for carrying sewage from your property to the main sewer line is damaged, responsibility for sewer line repairs usually fall on the property owner. If you’ve diagnosed problems in your sewer line’s lower section, which carries wastewater to the main sanitary line, you may be responsible for their repair, depending on where you live. As sewer lines from your sewer mains to the public treatment facility are typically classed as public infrastructure, they are unlikely to be your responsibility. If you aren’t sure who’s responsible for sewer line damage and its repairs, contact trusted plumbing service providers for advice and information.

  • When your sewer lines have been affected by a windstorm, a fire, lightning, or even hail, your homeowners’ insurance may cover sewer line replacement. If your sewer lines have been damaged by falling objects, vehicles or aircraft, vandalism, or an explosion, your homeowners’ insurance provider may cover sewer line replacement costs. If your sewer lines were to become damaged beyond repair in a riot, during a civil disturbance, or due to a volcanic eruption, your insurance company will likely cover the costs. If your insurance company believes that your sewer lines were damaged due to poor maintenance installation, they may refuse to cover the costs of replacing them.

  • Whether or not you need a permit to replace your sewer line can depend on where you live since every state in the United States has different rules and requirements. You may need to research your property’s exact address when learning about your sewer line replacement permit requirements since rules can vary from one property to the next. You may not need a permit to replace a sewer line in a rural location where your property is not connected to city water. If your property is connected to your city’s water and sewer lines, a permit is likely required for sewer line replacement, which your local sewer line repair team can help with.

  • Most sewer lines last for decades, but it can depend on the materials they are made out of — PVC is believed to last up to 100 years. If your sewer pipes are located near trees, there’s a chance that tree roots can drastically shorten their lifespan by wrapping around them, cracking them, impacting water and air pressure, and causing blockages. If your sewer lines contain metal, there’s a chance their lifespan could be affected by corrosion if they are exposed to magnesium, calcium, and similar minerals. Your sewer lines’ longevity can be impacted by blockages over time, temperature extremes, how well they were installed, and whether they have been well maintained.

  • Licensed and insured sewer line repair professionals typically take one to five days to replace a straightforward sewer line. Your service provider’s preferred sewer line replacement method can play a part in how long the job takes, including pipe bursting, pipe lining, and traditional excavation. When you have long sewer lines that need to be replaced, you can typically expect them to take longer to replace than if you have a short section. Most trusted sewer line replacement businesses will tell you that installation timeframes can depend on factors like soil conditions, sewer line depth, site preparation, and site restoration.

  • A foul smell from in or around your drains is a good indication that your sewer lines are damaged or broken, and you need to repair or replace them. Property owners often contact service professionals when they notice slow-draining fixtures, which can often indicate a crack or clog in a sewer line. Strange drain sounds and wet patches on your property are both strong indicators of broken sewer pipes or drains that require the help of sewer line repair professionals. When sewer pipe breaks go untreated and unnoticed for a long time, they can sometimes cause significant problems like foundation and wall cracks and damage.

  • Most property owners take care of broken sewer pipes underground by hiring licensed and insured service professionals with experience fixing broken pipes. Your local plumbing service provider may recommend traditional excavation to repair or replace your damaged sewer line, which involves digging up the pipe, repairing or replacing it, backfilling the hole, and restoring the ground. Many plumbing service providers recommend the trenchless sewer line repair method called pipe lining, which is where you create a new pipe inside an old one by inserting a liner and inflating it. Learn more about pipe bursting to fix your broken sewer line — this trenchless pipe replacement method involves pulling a new pipe through an old pipe and bursting the old one at the same time.

  • If your sewer lines regularly need to be repaired to keep them functional and safe to use, now is the right time to explore sewer line replacement. Many property owners explore sewer line replacement when they know their sewer lines have been poorly maintained in the past and are now starting to cost them money in repairs. If you know that tree roots from a nearby tree have affected your sewer lines, replacing them is crucial before they cause damage, blockages, and frustrating air and water pressure changes. Explore sewer line replacement for your home or business if your sewer lines have a suboptimal layout, a build up of materials, or were improperly installed,
