I called to get my water tested for minerals and they came out right away and booked the appointment to install a filter not even a week later. Everything was explained to me on what our water looked like and how the filtration system would work. I was very impressed with the services and how well they explained everything that was happening.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I had a minor emergency with a leak and my information was passed to Mr. Rooter on a Saturday afternoon. Nick Slater proactively called me himself and was out at my house with a remedy within 2 hours, and full repair on the following Monday. He was extremely efficient and informative about the cause, resolution, what to look out for in the future and how I could handle it going forward. The process was completely painless and customer-centric, Nick himself was professional but also personable and seemed like an all-around good person. I already know that I will be a repeat customer for future routine work and any other plumbing needs and have already recommended to a friend. Awesome work.

My profile is about Tim. He removed my old water meter and replaced my waterline. He was very neat and courteous. About a week later Tim replace my hot water heater. I didn’t really want to bother him when he was working, but made idle conversation here and there. We had a brief conversation about the military and I asked him was he a member of the military at one time. He told me his father was retired Navy and a few family members are in the military. I have nothing but respect for members of thei military. Via my talking with Tim, I could see he was a real professional, and was very courteous. This stuff doesn’t happen by accident as I am sure his family upbringing played a huge part. He did a great job, was very neat, and explained how and what he was doing. He did the job in a timely fashion and did not leave a mess. You have an ace of a worker with Tim. He is a true professional. Because of his actions representing your company, I rave about your company to my fellow neighbors. Workers like Tim don’t come along every day. If your employee rating system has 10 stars he gets a 10. Do everything possible to keep an employee like Tim!!!! I know what I am talking about as a retired supervisor of men and women in the public safety sector of almost 50 years in New Jersey. Thank you Mr. rooter and thank you Tim

Frequently Asked Questions About Water Heater Repair & Replacement in Broomall, Pennsylvania

If you’d like to learn more about our water heater repair and replacement services, check out the answers to our commonly asked questions below. You can contact the team at Mr. Rooter Plumbing® in Broomall, Pennsylvania for more information about our comprehensive plumbing services across the city.

  • Any problems with a water heater can require the expertise and experience of trusted water heater repair specialists in your area to fix or replace it. When you’re choosing a water heater repair specialist to take care of your water heater, ask them about licensing and insurance so you can be sure of their reputation and reliability. Before hiring a business or individual to repair or replace your home or business water heater, read reviews and testimonials or ask people you trust for recommendations. When researching various water heater repair businesses in your area, inquire about guarantees on parts and workmanship, as these valuable benefits set some experts apart from others.

  • You may have luck repairing a water heater that isn’t heating water by checking the power supply and heating elements and inspecting the thermostat. If your water heater is leaking due to a loose connection, a faulty pressure-relief valve, or corrosion, contact your local service professional to assess the damage and explore part replacement or total water heater replacement. In many situations, you can repair a water heater that’s making strange noises due to sediment buildup by flushing the tank. Water heater repairs are often best left to trained professionals, so call a water heater team you can trust.

  • Check the manufacturer’s label when determining whether a water heater is worth repairing since repairs don’t always make sense after 8-12 years. Calculate the costs of water heater replacement versus repairs since replacement can make more financial sense if your repair bill will likely be 50% of the price of a new water heater in the last year. Water heater replacement is worth considering if you’ve needed to contact your local water heater repair specialist multiple times for various repairs, and that trend is likely to continue. New water heaters for sale through trusted businesses are often efficient and high-performing, so compare your old model’s efficiency and performance before considering repairing or replacing it.

  • Rust and corrosion can be a common cause of a leaking water heater; in that case, replacement can often be a more recommended option than repairs. A leaking water heater with water coming out of the pipes and fittings may not be a significant problem — you can sometimes fix it by tightening the inlet and outlet pipes with a pipe wrench. When water leaks from a pressure relief valve, it can indicate that it has failed and may need to be replaced by a trusted and experienced plumbing service provider. Any water heater leak from the drain valve may indicate a valve that’s damaged or not fully closed, which requires professional water heater repair.

  • If your water heater is reasonably new and in good condition, it may cost less to repair than the national average, which is around $600. How much you pay for water heater repairs can depend on the type of tank you have installed, such as a gas or electric model or a tank or tankless one. The diagnosed issue with your water heater determines how much you need to pay for repairs, such as a broken thermostat or heating element, a leak, or sediment buildup. Labor costs for plumbing service providers contribute to the costs associated with water heater repairs, but these vary across different towns, cities, and states.

  • The type of water heater you want to buy for your home or business will determine the costs of replacement, including whether the new unit is gas, electric, tankless, or tank. The costs associated with water heaters with low flow rates and small tanks tend to be lower than those with high flow rates and large tanks. Various things can contribute to water heater replacement costs, like who you choose to install it, where it will be installed, and whether permits are required. You can contact a trusted plumbing service professional in your area for a job estimate if you want a good idea of what it will cost to install a new water heater.

  • A water heater that is over 10 years old and is inefficient, and non-economical to operate for your home or business means it’s time for a replacement. Spending around half the cost of a new water heater’s price on repairs over the last 12 months suggests that replacing your current water heater is a more cost-effective option. If you’ve noticed corrosion and leaks starting to form at the base of your water heater, consider replacing it sooner rather than later. Start shopping around for new water heaters if yours has continuous sediment buildup, is no longer fit for purpose, or you want to enjoy some of the latest and greatest water heater features and tech.

  • Your water heater installation timeframe through a trusted plumbing service provider depends on the type of water heater you want to install. Generally, water heater replacement takes three to five hours, but many factors like your existing setup can contribute to a longer or shorter installation timeframe. Consider your existing plumbing connections because the need for repairs, replacement, or new installations can contribute to your new water heater installation timeframe. While professional water heater installation typically takes from three to five hours, it can take longer if a plumber has to make modifications to your space or install a new gas line.

  • A water heater’s average or expected lifespan is a good guideline for how frequently you’ll need to replace your commercial or residential water heater. While an eight to 12-year lifespan for a water heater or up to 15 years for a high-efficiency unit isn’t guaranteed, that tends to be the’average’ for most models. A professionally installed and well-maintained tankless water heater may surprise you with its lifespan, with many quality options lasting as long as 20 years before you need to replace them. Water quality, regular maintenance and repairs, overall performance, and water quality can impact the anticipated eight- to 12-year lifespan of a water heater and when you can expect to replace it.

  • Home buyers are often willing to pay more when they see recent updates to the home, like a new, high-efficiency water heater or other plumbing upgrades. A new water heater in a move-in-ready home can be attractive to prospective buyers who might view it as a sign of a well-maintained property. Combining new water heater installation with other changes like bathroom and kitchen upgrades can increase your home’s overall value and appeal to more buyers. Standard market conditions tend to play a leading role in whether or not a water heater has the potential to increase your property’s value and desirability.
