Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

We had a terrific experience with the guys. They were very polite, knowledgeable and hard working. They did a great job and we were actually charged less than we expected! They called to let us know they were on the way just as we were told they would do and they explained everything that needed to be done as they ran the camera through the drainage pipe. We would highly recommend them and will call them again if we have any plumbing issues in the future.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

First time home owners, going in completely blind. We were warned left and right that Rooter was more expensive than the little guys, and told we should definitely hire “local” help. We did, and we got stood up multiple times even after funds were exchanged. So we called Rooter. At this point we were having extensive issues with Josephine DEQ and I was ready to try to resell the house. The people at Rooter treated me like a long lost daughter, fighting for fair treatment on my behalf with DEQ. What a refreshing group of people to deal with after the nightmare of a year we’ve had. Beyond worth it to be able to interact with complete strangers who seriously, genuinely care. Special shout out to William who has put in so many off-site hours to this project. You’ve got a spot at the table anytime.

Jack was awesome, it's so nice to have someone answer your calls. This is my rental house and I need to take care of issues as soon as possible. Thank you again. I will only call your company next time I need a plumber. Bob Jiles.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

The plumbing in our 1950’s house has a lot of odd angles and clearing a clogged drain is a challenge even for the professionals. I called Mr. Rooter and they were able to find a date and time that worked with my schedule. Anthony arrived on time and worked persistently to resolve the issue. He was friendly and professional and asked about my preference for wearing a mask in my home. It wasn’t easy, but he got the job done. I’m sure we’ll have another clog at some point in the future and I won’t hesitate to call Mr. Rooter the next time I need their services.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

On Saturday 5/28/2022, our kitchen sink wouldn't drain. Called Mr Rooter, got the answer service, and Anthony called me back within an hour. Gave a time he would be out and actually showed up before that time. We explained what we were experiencing and he got right to work. Within 20 minutes he had the sink draining. Anthony was very professional and we would call Mr. Rooter again if needed.

  • Buckley, T.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Anthony was absolutely wonderful. He attempted 3 times to clear the blockage of the sink with the Spartan drain cable, and when that did not work, he explained in detail what the problem could be and he then used the water jet. Our drain never cleared so fast. Anthony was professional in his returning call, estimating the time he would arrive, and even returning other customer's calls. Professional and caring….what more could you ask for.

Nick was excellent! Very professional and thorough.

  • Heidi H.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

These guys are the best. I called and they came out first thing the next morning. They quoted me a price to fix my plumbing problem and got to work on fixing it. It ended up costing a little less than half of what they thought it would cost. They are so honest.

Frequently Asked Questions About Septic Tank Pumping in Cave Junction, Oregon

Below, we’ve answered some of our more commonly asked questions about septic tank pumping and septic tank cleaning for your convenience. If you have questions, concerns, or queries about our commercial or residential plumbing services, reach out to our trusted team today.

  • The costs associated with pumping your septic tank depend on where you live and who you choose to carry out the task. Your septic tank’s size determines the costs you face to pump your septic tank, with larger tanks holding more waste and typically costing more to pump. You may pay less to pump a septic tank that’s pumped regularly compared to one that isn’t because there’s less waste to remove and a potentially reduced risk of tank overflow. A range of factors contribute to septic tank pumping costs, like the distance between your property and the disposal site, where your tank is located, its condition, and whether you need other services like septic tank inspection.

  • Everyone’s situation, property type, and septic tank are different, which means there is no set timeframe for how often you should pump your septic tank. Various factors contribute to your recommended septic tank pumping frequency, like the size of your family, the size of your tank, whether you use a garbage disposal, and even the climate. Book septic tank pumping services every three to five years to avoid problems like sewage backups and health hazards. Septic tank pumping professionals in your area can advise you on the best septic tank pumping frequency for your unique property, septic system, and needs.

  • It can be obvious that a septic tank is full and needs to be pumped by a trusted professional when the drains inside your home start to back up. A non-flushing toilet can be a sign of a full septic tank that you need to empty because wastewater can’t make its way through the drainpipes. Booking septic tank pumping services is necessary when you notice unpleasant odors, water pooling around your property, and strange sounds coming from your drains. Green, thriving grass in random spots on your lawn could be a sign that your septic tank has an issue or is full and needs to be pumped.

  • With so many businesses offering septic tank pumping services, it can be worth researching and reviewing various options so you can confidently make your decision. Perform an online search using local business directories and search engines to discover who pumps septic tanks near you. Recommendations from friends, families, neighbors, and coworkers are a common way to find a highly regarded septic tank pumping business near you. Sometimes, local businesses like hardware and improvement stores that regularly work with service businesses are more than happy to recommend companies to individuals, so approach them for recommendations.

  • If your septic tank needs to be pumped, any time is a good time to call in a licensed and insured service professional. If you live somewhere with particularly cold winters, septic tank pumping is a much harder task if your tank is hard to access and the ground is frozen or snow-covered. Many septic tank pumping companies are busy emptying their customers’ septic tanks in spring and summer, which is a desirable time of year for septic tank pumping. Mud can present challenges for septic tank companies trying to access septic tanks, so book your service when there isn’t extreme weather that could cause access issues.

  • Saving money can be a great reason to try DIY septic tank pumping, but the need for specialized equipment and experience mean that it’s not recommended. Leaving septic tank pumping to the professionals is worthwhile since they use vacuum trucks with pumps and hoses and understand the importance of wearing safety equipment to avoid pathogens and bacteria. Most homeowners don’t have industry knowledge of septic tank pumping, waste management, and septic systems in the same way that a septic tank pumping service provider does, so it makes sense to leave this job to the pros. There can be legal and regulatory issues associated with trying to pump your septic tank yourself, which can be avoided if you use professional service providers.

  • If you own a conventional septic system with a septic tank and drain field, you will need to hire septic tank pumping service providers to pump it at least every three to five years. Homeowners and business owners with aerobic treatment systems featuring aeration chambers typically need to pump their systems every one to three years, depending on the design of their system and how frequently it’s used. Less common septic systems, like drip irrigation, chamber systems, sand mound systems, and constructed wetlands can require regular pumping like conventional septic systems. Every septic system is different, so don’t be afraid to contact a septic tank pumping business for advice about septic tank pumping scheduling that’s unique to your property.

  • Many rural properties in the US, comprising about 25% of total households, use septic systems (decentralized wastewater treatment systems) to manage sewage directly on their land. In general, septic systems receive wastewater from homes or buildings, separate and store solids, treat the wastewater to remove pollutants, and discharge the treated effluent into the environment. Septic systems are linked to homes and businesses through main drainage pipes, receiving blackwater and greywater from toilets, washing machines, showers, and other household fixtures. Septic systems remove impurities from wastewater, including nutrients, viruses, bacteria, and parasites, before the treated wastewater becomes groundwater and drains into lakes, rivers, and streams.

  • When you don’t empty your septic tank on a regular schedule, you can encounter issues like drain field damage, drain clogs, and overflowing toilets. An overfilled septic tank is more than just an inconvenience; it can have environmental consequences like soil and groundwater contamination when it leaks out of your septic system. If you don’t empty your septic tank regularly, you may experience tank damage or system malfunction, which can require a trained service professional to repair. Awful odors, repair costs, and poor system functioning can all be associated with simply not booking septic tank pumping services regularly enough.

  • If you need to find the lid to your septic tank, look for a circle lid measuring around two feet that features concrete or a black or green plastic material. Inspect your property diagram to see if your septic tank lid has been marked on it to make the discovery process easier. You may quickly find your septic tank’s lid if you were to insert a stick or probe into the ground every two or three feet until you come across something hard. After having no luck finding your own septic tank lid, reach out to local trusted septic tank pumping experts who can use specialized locating equipment to find both your septic tank and the lid.
